Kamali D is stepping into 10th Standard in Zion Good Shepherd school at Madurai. She has not seen her father as he left them before her birth. Her mother struggled​ a lot for all these years for her daughter's education till 9th.

Her mother is presently working in a parlour. I spoke with the parlour owner Mrs. Vijaya Laxmi. She is not just using her as a servant, rather she is teaching her all parlour techniques so that she can run parlour on her own in future.

She is paying a salary of ₹.3000 per month plus food. She is also supporting Kamali by giving her daughter's dresses. She knows them for past 20 years as she is nearby to her home.

Kamali is not able to attend the 10th special class now as school is forcing them to pay entire fees of ₹.38500 per year. At present they're having amount of ₹.8500 only. Since it's 10th std she is not able to shift her to any govt school but they have assured that they will shift in next standard.

From Artham, we paid ₹.20,000 for this year and requested them to collect the rest amount of ₹.10, 000. School management also came forward to reduce fees for her. We have given assurance that we will take care of her studies till 12th from Artham.
